Celebrity Cruises has opened bookings for the inaugural sailings of Celebrity Xcite, the sixth ship in its Edge Series, as part of an expanded Caribbean lineup for the 2028-2029 season
Debuting in 2028, Celebrity Xcite will operate seven-night Caribbean itineraries from Miami, visiting destinations including St. Thomas, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten and the Dominican Republic.
The new ship will join the cruise line's largest-ever Caribbean deployment, with Edge Series ships sailing from four Florida ports during the 2028 and 2029 seasons.
“The Caribbean is our guests’ favorite place to vacation,” says Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises. “Whether it’s a long-awaited island getaway or a spontaneous weekend escape, we are creating new and fresh ways for guests to experience the region with Celebrity Cruises.”
The expanded deployment will also introduce shorter Caribbean itineraries aboard Celebrity Beyond. For the first time, Celebrity Cruises will offer three-night weekend getaways aboard an Edge Series ship. Celebrity Beyond will operate nine sailings from Fort Lauderdale to The Bahamas between November 2028 and March 2029.
Celebrity Eclipse will also offer weekend getaways from Fort Lauderdale, while Celebrity Summit will operate four- and five-night itineraries from Miami. Select sailings will include opportunities to visit Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau.
The 2028-2029 season will feature several other changes and expanded itinerary options. Celebrity Beyond will offer eight- to 11-night sailings from Fort Lauderdale, including six Panama Canal itineraries. Celebrity Ascent will operate nine- to 12-night voyages visiting destinations such as Aruba, Curaçao, Barbados, Martinique and Saint Lucia.
Celebrity Xcel will offer six- and eight-night sailings from Fort Lauderdale, including Southern Caribbean itineraries featuring Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, as well as Western Caribbean routes to Mexico, Honduras and Grand Cayman.
Celebrity Silhouette will introduce eight- to 12-night summer sailings to the Southern Caribbean, including Barbados, Martinique, Saint Lucia and Grenada. Beginning in October, the ship will also offer seven-night itineraries from San Juan, Puerto Rico, with five port days on each sailing.
Celebrity Reflection will continue year-round Caribbean operations from Fort Lauderdale, offering six- to eight-night itineraries. The ship is scheduled to undergo a transformation in March 2027 that will add 13 new spaces, including the Grand Plaza, an Edge Series signature venue.
Elsewhere in Florida, Celebrity Apex will return to Cape Canaveral, offering Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. Celebrity Constellation will sail seven-night itineraries from Tampa to Key West, The Bahamas and the Western Caribbean.
“With the debut of Celebrity Xcite, and more Edge Series ships in the Caribbean than ever before, our 2028 and 2029 season gives guests more ways to experience the destinations they love, paired with innovative design, elevated service and unforgettable moments at sea that only Celebrity Cruises can deliver,” says Bethge.
