OSSN (Outside Sales Support Network) said it will launch an official OSSN trade show and forum for the home based travel agency community in 2010. The show is scheduled May 24-26 in San Diego. In announcing the new event, OSSN President Gary Fee stressed the trade show and forum would provide an expanded dimension in training and education for his member travel agents, as well as others, both home based and brick-and-mortar, who are interested in expanding their horizons.
The new three-day event will make its debut at the 40-acre Town & Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego on May 24-26. Fee said he selected this property for its excellent meeting facilities, convenient location and long history of hosting successful conferences. "The travel agent distribution channel with suppliers is vitally important to our industry," said Fee. "As an officially branded OSSN event, we will make every effort to guarantee that this event will offer the most comprehensive education and training."
As he has done in earlier home-based shows and conferences, Fee will once again moderate a general session and several key niche panels. Describing himself as greatly enthused by this new project, Fee cited the fact that his organization now numbers nearly 8,000 travel agents, plus regular contacts with another 30,000 travel agents. He also referred to his growing supplier base and the many new promotional programs that will become available for all OSSN members as a result of the new trade show and forum.
Fee also emphasized that the show will be open to all travel agents and all travel suppliers, whether a travel agent works in a store front and is thinking about moving to a home office or already is an established home-based professional. "One and all are welcome to this educational and networking opportunity," he said.
