Sometimes you may think of the Caribbean coast of Mexico and immediately a spring break image comes to mind-busy resorts, pool parties and loud music.

If this thought stops you from touring this destination, that's a shame! Funjet Vacations reminds us just how amazing this place is.

The Cancun and Riviera Maya areas have tons of adventures to offer visitors who really want a taste of Mexico. Sitting on a beach chair is nice, but getting out and exploring the area is even better. Good thing you can do both.

Ancient Mayan ruins are awaiting your arrival. You can take a day trip to Chichen Itza, tour the ruins in Tulum or stop by the El Rey ruins located steps from Cancun's Hotel Zone. Stand in awe capturing these sites on your camera or walk around and read about the history these ruins can tell.

Snorkeling and scuba diving are also very popular in this destination. You never know what you might find strolling under the sea. While you're down there, check out Mama Viña, a sunken shrimp boat, and Juan Escutia, a sunken C-56 mine sweeper.

These activities, and many more, are sure to keep you and your family busy during your fall vacation. Steer clear of the holiday crowds and book your Mexico vacation for travel during the next few months.
