Top Things To Do

Bermuda
Are you looking for a relaxing getaway? Perhaps you’re looking to go on an adventure? Well, look no further than Bermuda! With stunning beaches, many places to explore, and many activities to keep you busy, who can resist visiting this gem in the North Atlantic Ocean?

Important Things To Know

Currency

The official currency of Bermuda is the Bermudian Dollar (BMD).

The US Dollar is widely accepted on the island of Bermuda. This is due to the Bermudian Dollar being of equal value to the US Dollar. However, some businesses will only receive the Bermudian Dollar as payment.

ATMs are available to get cash. All major credit cards are accepted at most tourist destinations. We recommend having cash on you for smaller purchases and paying for transportation.

National Languages

English is the official language of Bermuda. The large majority of the people on the island also speak it.

Bermuda is also home to those who speak other languages like Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, and French. Although these languages aren't official, many immigrants from Europe and Latin America who live in Bermuda use them regularly.

Climate And Weather

Bermuda's warm climate makes it perfect for beach trips and outdoor activities throughout the year.

During summer, temperatures are mild and quite comfortable, with an opportunity for cooling sea breezes. Summers in Bermuda are usually sunny and pleasant, with the occasional rain shower in the afternoon or evening.

The Bermudian winter months are only slightly cooler than the summer months. Their winter months also come with a higher chance of rainfall. The highest amount of rain is usually seen during October and November.

  • Hamilton. Hamilton is the Bermudian capital. It offers a variety of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. The waterfront area features many charming shops and restaurants. Hamilton also has the Royal Naval Dockyard, which boasts the country's largest concentration of historical sites.
  • St. George's. St. George's is one of our favorite destinations in Bermuda. It's an excellent option for those looking for a unique Bermudian experience. This town was once the capital of Bermuda and is now a UNESCO world heritage site. St. George's is popular with visitors who want to explore its picturesque bays, beaches, traditional houses, cobblestone streets, and historical sites.
  • Somerset Village. On the island's southwestern tip, we think Somerset Village is an excellent choice for guests wanting a peaceful Bermudian experience. Somerset offers stunning bayside views and outdoor activities such as kite surfing, sailing, kayaking, bird watching, and swimming in its clear waters.
